School-Age Children (5-12 years)

As children get older and more independent, they
need new challenges. That’s why KinderCare offers
Before & After School care, Enrichment programs,
and Summer Camps that address the changing and
more varied needs of growing school-age children.
Catch the Wave® is KinderCare’s program for
school-age children and provides a unique before-
and after-school learning experience to keep your
school-ager motivated and focused in a fun and
stimulating environment.
Most school-age children seek to develop a sense
of self – a sense of who they are, what they can
do, and how they are perceived by others. Catch
the Wave® takes into account the differing needs
of school-age children ranging in age from five to
12 years old to ensure they successfully find
their place in an increasingly complex world.
To make it easy for your family's schedule, many
centers provide transportation to and from
neighborhood schools. Our school-age program also
aligns with school calendars to provide fun and
learning during holidays, teacher in-service days,
and other school breaks.
Your Child’s Day
In our programs, school-age children will develop complex coordination skills, engage with peers, and practice group study. They will begin to express their goals and wishes as they seek self-identity and explore interests and behaviors in an age-appropriate way.
With before- and after-school programs at KinderCare, your child will ride a wave of success toward social, emotional, physical, and intellectual maturity. Catch the Wave® at KinderCare and learn how to enroll your child today.
